Imagine a day of genuine recognition, respect, and interconnected cultural understanding.

Imagine if

every day was Black History month; every day was Women's History month; every day was Asian-Pacific Month; every day was marginalized performer and composer's month, every day was Hispanic Heritage Month; every day was Artists from all Genders, Ethnic, Social, and Cultural Backgrounds Month.

No more musical segregation. No more monthly designations.

Day…after day…after day: What a wonderful world it would be.

One of genuine recognition, respect, and interconnected cultural understanding.

P. S.

When I programmed classical music on the radio, the last question I asked -- actually, I never asked this question -- what is this person's gender, race, sexual orientation, country of origin etc.?

I would ask, "is this music good, is it a solid performance, and is there a personal, musical or historical story to tell?"

Listeners seemed to like that.
