Meet the Influencers
If only you knew Jimmy Fallon, or Oprah, or Barack Obama, Taylor Swift, Ellen DeGeneres or Lady Gaga… They are what is known as “Influencers.”
And if only these influencers would tweet about your new CD, your next concert or your new composition to their millions of followers on social media.
You would be the talk of the town and the Twittersphere – tens of thousands of people would line up to buy your CD, get front row seats at your concerts making it possible for millions to experience your art.
But you probably don’t know Jimmy or Gaga or Oprah.
But you do know other influencers, maybe a well-known chef or restaurateur, a noted author, a gardening guru, a wine connoisseur, pet authority, radio personality or other mover-shakers of influence with devoted followers. They are your friends with benefits.
These influencers blog, they make news, they set trends, they get noticed in some big way. What if they loved what you do and believed in you? They could get the word out.
What if you were to collaborate with one of those influencers in some way, and they mentioned your collaboration to their devoted followers?
Or, what if they just offered up a riveting endorsement and a link to your website?
Each could be a friend with benefits.
