Is there a way to raise money without asking for money? Fundraising during Quarantine and Any Time Part 1

All gigs, concert bookings and concert series have gone away for now and for who knows how long. These are difficult times for artists – even surreal, but the stress and struggle are real.

Is there a way to raise money without asking for money?

Yes.

Pick the Fundraising Appeal that you are most likely to connect with and most likely to make a contribution.

Your support is critical in these difficult and uncertain times as we get ready to bring the Link Ensemble Virtual Soiree to you in August. Help out and join the fun by attending Link Ensemble’s Virtual Soiree on September 19th and by purchasing a ticket at whatever level you can afford.

The AML Ensemble introduces the power, joy and beauty of classical music to city communities who have little or no access to classical music

The AML ensemble performs 50 children concerts a year in local schools.

We commission 4 new “children-inspired” and “social justice-inspired” compositions a year. Every one of our concert performances includes at least one of these new works.

We provide one-on-one teaching and mentoring to music students who cannot afford music lessons. (Typically, 25 students a year)

Each month, we perform 3 concerts at a Senior Living Facility, a county prison or Community Center.

Here are ways you can help us continue bringing the classical music experience to those in our community who, perhaps, will benefit the most. (The last three words are a link to contribution options.)

Version 2 is the one I prefer. It summarizes how the AML Ensemble serves and benefits its community. It makes the case for contributing. Then, it seamlessly points the viewer to the options for making a contribution, without actually asking.

Here’s another way to raise money using beauty, inspiration, ingenuity and by making it personal.

Boom. Notice where, when and how the “ask” appears.

I know….not everyone can assemble 12 world class violinists to create something like this, but you do have a world of resources available to you within your own artistic circle.

“Regardless of the strategy you use, you still must play spectacularly.” (Professor Obvious)

P.S. Please note the slight difference and connotation of these two words: Donation; Contribution

You donate to a charity…a good cause. You contribute to an arts organization because it’s a good cause, and because it feels right; it makes you feel good contributing to something that’s on a path towards something important, wonderful and even necessary.

It’s subtle, I know. But if it’s me, I’d rather contribute to the creative endeavor you’ve committed your life to, and because I want to be a part of that endeavor for the long haul.

P.S.S. The AML ensemble was formerly known as the Ask Me Later Ensemble.
