Once again, we have met the enemy, and it's (some of) us.
Really?
I disagree with the sentiment, context and complete message(s) presented in this cartoon.
Worse, it advances nothing, and even hurts and disrespects the genius and non-genius composers writing good music, whether it's classical, jazz, R and B or pop music.
Remember the Beatles?
Country Singer Garth Brooks once lamented that, for some, a performance before an enthusiastic crowd of 10,000 people automatically translated to a lack of creative substance.
It was shocking and frustrating to see how many composers and performers “liked” this cartoon on Facebook.
