New Year’s Resolutions are a waste of time unless...

New Year’s resolutions are often a listing of things that we are going to stop doing in the upcoming year.

One exception might be “I’m going to start going to the gym 3 - 4 times a week” #yeahright

1) I’m going to spend less time on social media, and falling into the seductive rabbit’s hole. Wish me luck.

2) I’m a very scattered person living in a very clattered apartment. In 2025, I will stop living a cluttered life. Wish me luck.

3) See No. 2, and apply it to my car.

***********

This is what happened last year.

When I was done using something in my apartment, I tried to put it back where it was supposed to be (cupboard, closet, or shelf, or wherever).

After some repetition, it became a habit.

2) Instead of looking at my phone first thing, I “had a morning.” Coffee, breakfast, catching the news, and listening to music.

Around 10 am, I started looking at my phone.

By living a new, less cluttered life, reducing the time I spent inside rabbit holes, I slowly began spending more time on the most important things: health and well-being (the gym), family, career, having fun, doing nothing, and my vices.

My apologies for any unintended preaching and TMI.
